Helen Saoud, 91, of Waukesha, WI and formerly Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020. She was born in Clarksburg on July 29, 1928, a daughter of the late Thomas K. and Zher Joseph George Thomas.

In addition to her parents Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Marcel T. Saoud on January 6, 2000. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having also been preceded in death by her nine siblings: Richard Thomas, Rosheda Simon, Kalel Thomas, John Thomas, Louis Thomas, Mary Simon, Barbara Thomas, Rose Signorelli, and Paul Thomas. Helen was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Ellie Marie Price.
Mrs. Saoud is survived by her six children: Allen Saoud and wife Jennifer of Fairmont, Joyce Price and husband Jim of Clarksburg, David Saoud of WI, Dennis Saoud of Stonewood, Judy Saoud of Bridgeport, and Jean McCarthy and husband Matt of WI; eight grandchildren: Isaac Saoud, Nicole Saoud and fiancé Drew Godbey, Zachary Price and wife Vanessa, Jacob Price and wife Jennifer, Daniel Saoud, Adam McCarthy and wife Molly, Alexandra McCarthy, and Joseph McCarthy; numerous great-grandchildren; and also numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, loved to bake, and was an avid walker. Helen also liked going on bus trips with friends, especially to Atlantic City. She especially loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV, on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 4 until 8pm. A prayer vigil will begin at 7:30 that evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 10am with Father Casey Mahone as Celebrant.
