James Edward “Ed” Mills II, 70, of Anmoore, WV, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. He was born in Clarksburg on March 4, 1949 a son of James E. Mills and step-mother Gerta Mills and Elizabeth “Betty” Meadows and step-father Bill Meadows.

Ed is survived by his wife of 34 years, Twila M. (Mayle) Mills; six children: John E. Mills of Mansfield, OH, Christopher Mills (Kathy) of KY, Christy Mills of Mansfield, OH, Patricia “Trish” Barnett (Kyle) of Clarksburg, Cassandra Mills of Clarksburg, and Timothy Lindsay (Heather) of Clarksburg; seventeen grandchildren: Tristan, Delores, Curtis, Christopher, Lydia, Elizabeth, Jordan, Makhi, Kaleb, Reese, Brendon, Jàden, Dekota, Jaxon, Marlin, Genna, and Courtney; seven great-grandchildren: Alliyah, Abagail, Kaylee, Morgan, Xavier, Zaden, and Sonia; paternal siblings: Gerta Mills, Johann Mills (Linda), Cheryl Simones (Carl), Rose Mills (Ken), John Mills (Lynette), and Tina Johnson (Omar); maternal siblings: Edith Whitehaire, Barbara Moran, Ray Mills (Pam), Paul Mills (Phyllis), Belinda Coach (Mike), Patricia Alexander (Jimmy), Bill Meadows, Mary Davison (Patrick), and David Meadows (Tins). Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, James “Jamie” Mills III.

Mr. Mills served his country honorably in the United States Army, including two tours during Vietnam and was a sharp shooter. He worked as a mechanic and welding fabricator. Ed was also an evangelist minister and loved God greatly. He enjoyed hunting, riding 4-wheelers, and camping. Ed loved his family and spending time with them.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV, on Monday, January 6, 2020 from 10am until the funeral hour at 12 Noon with Pastor Dan Cotes presiding. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery in Pruntytown where full military honors will be accorded.
