Met Bob the first day I moved to Clarksburg to join The Exponent staff (2/12/73) The second day I was in Bob’s car when his brakes went out coming down Second Street hill. He came to the E.R. and then took me to his house where his Mom had dinner waiting.
Our friendship continued for decades despite the fact he was a staunch Republican and I was just as staunch Democrat.
Last year we saw each other frequently at physical rehab and shared memories and laughs before and after our sessions.
May he be at peace!

Bob and I were married for 16 years. Even though we have been divorced since 2008, we were still friends and checked in with each other often. We usually FB messaged during Patriots games and when he wasn't on FB when the Patriots played the Eagles, I had a "feeling" something was wrong. When I checked his FB page the next day, I saw the shocking news. I am still trying to accept the fact that we won't chat/message or FaceTime ever again. When someone is a part of your life for over 30 years, and is suddenly gone, it is difficult to accept. I know Bob was a good Christian and am sure he will be reunited with his parents, grandparents, friends, and other relatives who have gone before him. Rest In Peace, Bob. I'll miss our talks.

Bob was my best friend, my best man, and my Mountaineer brother. We could talk about anything and everything, especially Mountaineer football or basketball and all sports in between. We kept in touch over the years, most of the time texting during Mountaineer football games because I always lived pretty far away. Bob was like a brother to me; he was a great listener. There will always be a place for him in our hearts. We will miss him and remember the good times. Rest in peace, brother.
