Pete Mascaro, 89, of Westland, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at St. Mary Mercy Livonia Hospital in MI. He was born on April 14, 1930 in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late Salvatore and Angela Rose (Fazio) Mascaro.

Pete was the beloved husband of the late Antoinette. Dear father of Angela (John) Dagirmanjian, Sam (Karin Bolwahnn) Mascaro and Suzy (William) Walter. Grandfather of Alessandra, Marco, Pete and Carmen.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Antoinette, who rarely left his side; siblings Patsy (Mary) Mascaro; Frank (Rose) Mascaro and Tereasa (Luigi) Iaquinta as well as nephews Sam Mascaro, Patsy Mascaro Jr. and Sam Mascaro.
Pete was born, raised and lived most of his life in Clarksburg, WV. He attended Point Comfort Grade School, Central Junior High School and Washington-Irving High School. He served stateside during the Korean war in Huntsville, Alabama as an ordnance officer. Pete began as a skilled mechanic of cars and trucks and then eventually started working in the Clarksburg glass plant that was first known as the Hazel Atlas Glass Corporation.
He obtained an electrician’s license and remodeled three houses during his lifetime, including the family home on Pike Street. Pete was a master craftsman and especially enjoyed making doll houses for close friends, nieces and his grandchildren. He was skilled at woodworking and was self-taught in using his lathe to make lamps and bud vases. To add to his crafting skills, he also created beautiful stained-glass pieces in lead. He will be forever in our memories in these beautiful works of art that he left behind.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksburg, WV with Father Casey Mahone as Celebrant.
