Sarah Anne Bragg, 92, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Rosewood Center in Grafton. She was born in Clarksburg on May 29, 1927, a daughter of the late Harvey Dennis and Thelma Beatrice (Whitecotton) Dodd.

In addition to her parents, Sarah Anne was preceded in death by her first husband, George William Cooner, Jr., in 1980 and her second husband, Ralph Bragg in 1998. Also preceding her were three siblings: Carolyn Sue Modesitt, Ralph Dennis Dodd, and Shelby Jean Earehart.
Sarah Anne is survived by one daughter, Twyla Sue Strogen and husband Gregory of Bridgeport; one sister, Arrawanna Beatrice Maze of Franklin; three grandchildren: Jacob Gregory Wickenhofer of Clarksburg, Chandler Elizabeth Strogen of Charleston, and Nicholas Gregory Strogen of Bridgeport, and several nieces and nephews from the Dodd and Cooner families.
Sarah Anne was a life-long resident of the East View Community and attended the East View United Methodist Church. Along with her parents, Sarah Anne served as Postmaster at Station C in East View for several years and worked at A&P Grocery for 27 years. She loved animals and rescued countless dogs and cats over the years. Sarah Anne also was an avid antique collector and even had a small shop with her husband George, and sister Arrawanna, many years ago.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Rosewood Center, the staff of Hospice Amedisys, and the various clergy and friends for the loving care and attention they provided to Sarah Anne.
Sarah Anne’s wishes for cremation will be honored and a private memorial will take place at a later time.
