Russell Lee Riffle, 92, of Clarksburg, WV (Laurel Park Community), passed away on his birthday, Thursday, June 20, 2019. He was born on June 20, 1927 at Millertown, WV in Upshur County, a son of the late Roscoe Clay and Opal Icy (Roby) Riffle. Mr. Riffle is survived by his loving wife of nearly 69 years, Dorothy L. “Dottie” (Johnson) Riffle, whom he married on August 5, 1950.

Russell was also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters: Clifford Riffle, Margurite Radcliff, Juanita Ozborn, and Mildred Ward.

Thank you Russ for your faithful service at Emmanuel Baptist when I was your pastor. Your friendship and help in my life will never be forgotten. He was a great man of God and along with Jim Radcliff taught me how to hunt deer. I cherish the memories of hunting with him and listening to his stories many times. He was like a father to me while we lived in WV for nearly 15 years. I will see you again someday my dear brother.
