Yolanda Shelhammer, 94, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born in Clarksburg on November 27, 1924, a daughter of the late Dominic and Minnie Fazzini.

Yolanda is survived by three sons: Paul T. Shelhammer and wife Kathy of Pittsburgh, PA, John W. Shelhammer of Clarksburg, and Mark D. Shelhammer and wife Carol of Charleston; five siblings: Philipp Fazzini of Cincinnati, OH, Paul Fazzini and wife Lynn of Plymouth, OH, Elizabeth Biafore and husband Bob of Elkins, Thelma Fazzini of Clarksburg, and William D. Fazzini of Clarksburg; three grandchildren: John Paul Shelhammer of Clarksburg, David Shelhammer of Morgantown, and Stephanie Shelhammer of Charleston; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Yolanda was preceded in death by one son, George S. Shelhammer, brothers John and Paul Fazzini, and sister Lydia Carpenter.
Yolanda was a 1942 graduate of Washington-Irving, then went on to help build airplanes during the war, namely the B24, in Dayton, Ohio. Later she worked as a seamstress at Mountain State Linen and Clean Linen before settling to life as a homemaker. She enjoyed reading her Bible and working crossword puzzles. Yolanda love her family very much, and even cared for her mother for many years before her passing. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her sisters Elizabeth and Thelma for their love and care to Yolanda.
Family and friends will be received at Christian Assembly in Nutter Fort on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 9am until the funeral hour at 11am with Pastor Fred Aves presiding.
