Mrs. Betty Jo Barnett, age 71, of Brownton, WV, passed away at 1:58 P.M.
On Friday, September 22, 2006 at the Wallace B. Murphy Nursing Home in
Grafton, WV following an extended illness. She was born in Newburg,
(Preston Co.)WV on September 15, 1935 a daughter of the late Sam Cavallier
and Minnie Alice Smith Cavallier.
Her husband, James Edward Barnett, whom she married in July 1953, preceded
her in death July 13, 2002.
Surviving are, five sons and spouses, Mark L. Barnett, William G. “Jerry” & Tammy Barnett, Paul Allen Barnett, Robert Earl & Shelly Barnett, Thomas M. J. “T.J.” Barnett & Sherri Cartwright, his fiancee`, all of Clarksburg, WV,
three daughters and spouses, Wendy Diane & Robert Nelson, Clarksburg, WV,
April Carolina & Charles “JR” Farris, Brownton, WV, and Dorene Mariah
Barnett, Columbus, OH, one sister, Rosemary Cavallier Barlow, Akron, OH., who
will deeply miss her. She was also dearly loved by twenty plus grandchildren,
four great grandchildren , many nieces & nephews and her many friends for
who she always had a kind word.
Mrs. Barnett was also preceded in death by four brothers, Howard, Frank, David and William Cavallier, and one sister, Edna Mae Cavallier.
Betty Jo was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and was Baptized in the Lord there. She was a homemaker and had worked for many years as a health
care provider, but the majority of her years were spent as a dedicated wife and
mother to her family.
Friends may call at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main Street,
Clarksburg from 4:00 - 9:00 P.M. on Monday, where a funeral service will be
held on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 11:00 A. M. with the Pastor Jim Davis
presiding. Interment will be in West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown,
WV.
