Margaret Barker, age 87 of Gaithersburg, MD and formerly of Clarksburg departed this life at 8:55 a.m., Monday, Aug. 28, 2006 in the Montgomery Hospice Casey House in Rockville, MD.
She was born in Johnson, OH on Nov. 29, 1918, a daughter of the late Henry Hornsby and Catherian (Brodie) Hornsby.
Her husband, Willard C. “Chick” Barker, preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 1994.
Surviving are one daughter and a son in law, Karen & Thomas Dickenson, Gaithersburg, MD,
one brother, Nesbit James Hornsby, Fayetteville, WV, a grandson, Rick Helmick and two great grandchildren, Nathan Helmick and Megan Helmick..
She was preceded in death by 2 step brothers and 1 step sister.
Mrs. Barker was a member of the United Methodist Temple Church.
Friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main St., Clarksburg from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2006
with Rev. Paul Helmick presiding. Entombment will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens
Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Barker to
Montgomery Hospice Casey House, 1355 Piccard Drive, Suite 100, Rockville, MD 20850.
