Wynona “Toni” Davis Bailey, age 67 of Brushy Fork, Bridgeport, WV departed this life Sat., Feb. 25, 2006 in the West Penn Burn Center, Pittsburgh, PA.
She was born in Clarksburg, WV on Oct. 10, 1938, a daughter of the late Royal Cameron Davis and Wynona Marion (McIntyre) Davis.
Her husband, James Despard Bailey, died also on Sat., Feb. 25, 2006.
Surviving are a son, Dr. James Despard “J.D.” Bailey, Jr., Bridgeport, WV, two daughters, Carey McGregor Bailey, Philadelphia, PA and Marion “Betsy” Bailey Shearer, Bridgeport, WV and four grandchildren, Taylor Bailey, Phillip Bailey, Grace Shearer and Cameron Shearer.
Mrs. Bailey was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church, Clarksburg where she faithfully served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and previously a member of the Choir.
She was a member of the Harrison County C.E.O.’s. Mrs. Bailey was an assistant to the County Extension Agent for over 20 years in Harrison County.
Friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main St., Clarksburg from 12 noon-4p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wed., Mar. 1, 2006 with the Rev. Dr. Eric Milton Faust presiding. Interment will be in the Elkview Masonic Cemetery.
