Russell W. Aylestock age 83 formerly of 211 Elm Street, Clarksburg, WV died at 9:45 a.m., Saturday, December 4, 2004 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born in Buckhannon, WV on October 28, 1921, a son of the late Parley S. Aylestock and Nola Avis (Gould) Aylestock. His wife, Willadene (Zickefoose) Aylestock, preceded him in death on May 6, 1987. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Francis (Barbara) McQuillan, Clarksburg, WV, one son, Ronald L. Aylestock and his wife Jacki, Scott Depot, WV, six brothers, Carl F. Aylestock, Clarksburg, WV, Hartsel Aylestock, Clarksburg, WV, Edwin Aylestock, Clarksburg, WV, Woodford Aylestock, Buckhannon, WV, J. Thomas Aylestock, VA and Harold Aylestock, VA; three sisters, Mrs. Lavaun Bourne, VA, Mrs. Natalie Lawson, VA and Mrs. David (Anne Mae) Young, VA, six grandchildren, Tabitha Prisk and husband David, NC, Jennifer Fleming and husband Christopher, Hurricane, WV, Jason McQuillan, Clarksburg, WV, Amanda McQuillan, Clarksburg, WV, Nathanael Aylestock, Scott Depot, WV and Brianna McQuillan, Clarksburg, WV, two great grandchildren, Benjamin and Hannah Prisk, NC and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn Aylestock, Willard Aylestock and Lloyd Aylestock, three sisters, Mabel Newcome, Phyliss Ervin and Lorene Tomblyn. Mr. Aylestock was a member of the United Methodist Temple Church. He retired from the C & P Telephone Company and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Also, he was a member of the Sunnycroft Country Club, Clarksburg Masonic Lodge #155, A.F. & A.M., Past Patron of the Queen Esther Chapter #11, O.E.S., Central West Virginia Shrine Club and Past Watchman of Shepherds in the West Virginia Omega White Shrine #15. Mr. Aylestock served his country during WWII in the Army. Friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main Street, Clarksburg, WV from 2-9 p.m., Monday where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2004 with the Reverend Joy Butcher-Winfree presiding. Entombment will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Mr. Aylestock to the United Methodist Temple Church, 665 Locust Ave., Clarksburg, WV 26301. |
