Date of Birth:.12/12/1946 Date of Death:.10/13/2003 Mr. Clarence S. Baxter, Jr. , age 56, of North 24th Street, Clarksburg, WV died at 11:40 P.M. Monday, October 13, 2003 at the Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Salem following an extended illness. He was born in Clarksburg, WV December 12, 1946 a son of the late Clarence S. Baxter, Sr. and Jennie J. Mancuso Baxter. Surviving are one brother, Frank William “Jerry” Baxter, Laurel Park, Clarksburg, WV, a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Robert Elliott, Lost Creek, WV, two nephews, Shanon Postlewait, Rosemont, WV and William H. Postlewait, III, Lost Creek, WV and a niece, Monica Throckmorton, West Milford, WV. Mr. Baxter was also preceded by a brother, Joseph Anthony Baxter, January 24, 2001. Clarence was a graduate of Washington Irving High School and a former member of the Clarksburg Jaycees. The love of his life was his dog “Daisy”. He had been the owner and operator of “The Cloverleaf” in Northview for years and had for the past several years been employed by the Clarksburg Country Club as a custodian. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main Street, Clarksburg on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at 7:00 P.M. Davis-Weaver service. (Top)
