Doris Jane Bailey, age 63 of Clarksburg, WV departed this life on Friday, Mar. 21, 2008
at the United Hospital Center.
She was born in Green Valley, WV on June 19, 1944, a daughter of the late Selby Emerson and Barbara (Reed) Emerson.
Twice married and survived by her first husband, George Sheppard and preceded in death by her second husband, Eli Bailey.
Also surviving are two daughters, Sarah Harris, Stonewood, WV and Barbara I. McKinney, Snow Bird, West Union, three sons, Thomas Sheppard, Stonewood, WV, George F. Sheppard, LA and Harold L. Sheppard, Hepzibah, WV, one brother, Johnny Emerson, Clarksburg, WV,
one sister, Norma Ball, Grafton, WV, nine grandchildren, Chris and Casey Sheppard, Josh and Kelsey Flesher, Thomas Michael Sheppard, Nicole and Jossette Sheppard, Helen McKinney and Beverly McKinney and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Sheppard and several brothers and sisters.
Friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main St., Clarksburg
from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wed., Mar. 26, 2008 with the Rev. Bill Davis presiding.
A private interment will follow at the Sheppard Family Cemetery. |
