OPHELIA ELIZABETH BAILEY, age 82, of Clarksburg, WV passed away at 12:12 P.M. Sunday, August 12, 2007 at United Hospital Center. She was born April 24, 1925 at Stonewood, WV a daughter of the late Clarence W. and Lula Colvin Collins. She is survived by her husband of 60 years James M. Bailey II of Clarksburg, son and daughter-in-law, James “Jimi” and Lois Bailey of Laurel Park, daughters,Norris J. Raiford of New York, NY, Adrian M. Bailey of Ventura CA, daughters and sons-in-law, Bari D. and James E. Bailey of Clarksburg, and Sharon P. and Phil Hood of Salem, OR. She is also survived by one brother Chuck Collins of CA, three sisters, Dorothy Barnett of CA, Jean Pennywell of CA, and Mary Davis of OH, eleven grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Flossie Collins, Betty Parker, Bessie Higginbottom and Thelma Jackson, and 2 brothers, William Shelton and Clarence Collins. Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker and prayer warrior who attended the Stealey Assembly of God. She also enjoyed sewing and singing and was a graduate of Kelly Miller High School Class of 1943. Friends may call at Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main Street, Clarksburg from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM. on Tuesday where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Larry Green presiding. Interment will follow at West Virginia National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Bailey’s name to Stealey Assembly of God Missions, 116 Nicholas Street, Clarksburg, WV 26301. (Top)
