Obituary for Linda Linville

Linda Sue Linville, 71, of Bridgeport, WV, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born in Grafton, WV, on June 19, 1947, a daughter of the late Guy and Margaurite “Midge” (Willis) Woofter.

In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Linville; a step-son, Robbie Linville; and a sister Becky Gray.

Linda is survived by two children: daughter Melissa S. Turnage of Snow Hill, NC; son Ryan Linville of Bridgeport; her fiancé John “Hotdog John” Selario of Bridgeport; two step-daughters: Barbara LeBel (Pierre) of Lake Floyd and Cathy Oliver (Gene) of SC; three sisters: Sharon Ferrell of Orlando, FL, Patty Price (“Whitey”) of Quiet Dell, and Michelle Bowers of Clarksburg; a brother-in-law Jimmy Gray of Clarksburg; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and a nephew.

Linda was a graduate of Washington-Irving High School Class of 1965, and retired after 26 years of service as Executive Director of Central WV Community Action Association, Inc. She loved riding motorcycles and attending bike events, spending time in the sun at the beach especially, and camping at Twin Lakes. Linda enjoyed retirement greatly and liked dancing and traveling. She attended Bridgeport Evangel Baptist Church. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grand-babies.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV, on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 4 until 8pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 10am with Pastor Tom Horne presiding. Interment will follow at Bridgeport Cemetery.
