Susan Kennedy Tustin
Susan Rebecca Kennedy Tustin, 68, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born in Clarksburg on November 10, 1949, a daughter of the late B. Ray Kennedy and Betty Susan (Livingstone) Kennedy.
Susan is survived by her three children: Brian Carl Tustin and wife Amanda, Bradley Ray Tustin and companion Brittany Herrod, and Nanette Day Lafferty and husband Bill all of Laurel Valley; one brother, Larry J. Kennedy and wife Tammy of Reynoldsville; 10 grandchildren: Kaylee Tustin, Jade Hitt, Maddison Lafferty, Trey Waller, Braden Tustin, Tyler Tustin, Landen Lafferty, Kasalyne Waller, Xavier Tustin, and Treytin Tustin; five special friends: Karen Donnellan, Donna Badgett Wedertz, Stanley Menendez, Kathy Radcliff, and Jim Sayler as well as many other close friends and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Susan was preceded in death by one aunt, Doris Livingstone, and a long-time friend Pat Donnellan.
Susan attended WVU and Fairmont State where she obtained a degree in nursing. She began her career at St. Mary’s Hospital and went on to work at United Hospital Center where she retired as a Registered Nurse with nearly 40 years of service. She loved nursing, reading, beach trips with her family, and catching up with friends on Facebook. Susan was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarksburg, and greatly enjoyed gatherings with family and friends alike. Perhaps her most favorite thing though was spending time with her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV, on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 2 until 8pm. A memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11am at the First Presbyterian Church 175 W. Main Street Clarksburg, WV with Rev. John F. Koerner presiding, family and friends will be received beginning at 10am.
