Obituary for
Debra "Debbie" Williams
Debra C. “Debbie” Hamric Williams, 62, of Clarksburg, WV (Reynoldsville Community), passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born in Clarksburg on June 11, 1955 a daughter of the late John Dennis Hamric Sr. and Violet Lois (Grandstaff) Hamric.
Surviving are three sons: Derek Lee Hamric of Reynoldsville, Justin Andrew Hamric of Charleston, and Issaac Gene Hamric Williams of Clarksburg; six siblings: John D. Hamric Jr. of Reynoldsville, Donna M. Baker (Ritchie) of Wallace, Rita C. Griffith (Charles) of Lumberport, Marsha K. Rawls (Robert) of Salem, Lisa G. Ashbaugh (John) of Mt. Carmel, PA, and William L. “Bill” Hamric of Marshville; and one grandson, Ryland Ian Goots of Clarksburg. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Debra was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen M. Hamric.
Debbie was a graduate of Victory High School, worked as a nurse’s aide for many years in local nursing homes, and then went on to work for the Summit Center for nearly 20 years. She loved working with people, had a great love for animals, and enjoyed swimming. Debbie attended the Reynoldsville Baptist Church throughout the years and was a member of the Wilsonburg Lions Club. She also greatly enjoyed crochet and was very talented at it.
Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 4 until 8pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10am with Pastor Jon Hayes presiding. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
