Obituary for Connie Squires

Connie Eileen Squires, 62, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at River Oaks. She was born in Clarksburg on March 29, 1955, a daughter of the late James Howard and Bernice Marie (Durbin) Romine. Connie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Keith Allen Squires.

In addition to her husband Connie is survived by one son, Brian Keith Squires of Nutter Fort; one daughter, Vanessa Kay Squires of Clarksburg; and two grandchildren: Rachel Napier and husband John of Lumberport, and Sarina Squires of Nutter Fort; and two great-grandchildren: Olivia and John Napier.

In addition to her parents Connie was preceded in death by one sister, Florence Ann Romine.

Connie was a graduate of Roosevelt-Wilson, worked as a courier for United Hospital Center and as an aide for Children’s World Daycare for many years as well as doing babysitting for others in her home. Along with her husband she was co-owner and Vice-President and Secretary of Rush’s Tire in Nutter Fort. She enjoyed reading books, watching movies, and flower gardening. Connie also enjoyed cooking big meals for family and friends, loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and greatly enjoyed her Jack Russells and cats.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV, Friday, October 27, 2017 from 3 until 8pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11am with Pastor Sherman Goodwin presiding. Entombment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
